Waltz imagines a poetic moment in Tasmania’s Cradle Mountain wilderness, where two rare King Billy pines are caught mid-dance. Their entwined forms, framed by the delicate pink hues of springtime growth, evoke grace, intimacy, and freedom within one of the world’s most ancient landscapes.
In the distance, dolerite formations rise in layered strength, grounding the composition with a dramatic geological counterpoint. The contrast between the soft new foliage and the stone creating a tension that is both harmonious and compelling, an invitation to join with the rhythm of the natural world.
