Alpine Heat captures the rich tones that emerge as spring breathes life into Tasmania’s Cradle Mountain alpine region. Native grasses and low scrub bring texture and colour to the overcast landscape, their earthy hues glowing with quiet intensity. In the distance, rocky mountain ranges rise to meet the clouds. A lone tree emerges above the rest, anchoring the scene in strength and solitude.
This work reflects my ongoing interest in seasonal transformation and the emotional pull of remote places, where warmth, even in harsh terrain, signals change and renewal.
